Client advocates help each woman think through the short-term and long-term effects of parenting, adoption and abortion. We believe it is in the woman’s best interest to have access to a full range of information and resources regarding her options before making her decision. Time Commitment: 4 hours per week
As a licensed community care clinic, we need nurses, nurse practitioners, sonographers and medical doctors willing to donate their time and skills to provide services for our clients. Time Commitment: 4-8 hours per month
Birth Choice isn’t just waiting for young women in crisis to come to us, rather we hit the street and take our mobile units to meet them where they are. As a mobile unit driver you can help Birth Choice staff reach more women faster and save the lives of more unborn children. No special driving license is required, just a heart to serve. Time Commitment: Varies
Ministry Volunteer Opportunities:
Professional and lay educators are needed to teach classes on parenting and pregnancy through our weekly Beginnings classes to women. This unique educational program is designed to better prepare pregnant woman to become “mom”. Time Commitment: 1-4 times per year
What better way to show a young mother or father that they are not alone. An Adopt-A-Mom/Dad event extends the love of Christ to the women and men in our parenting classes during the holiday season. We provide them baby clothes through the course of the classes but this in an opportunity to bless them! Time Commitment: 1-2 Times/Year
Few gifts are a valuable as giving a child a better father. Our Dad Project Coaches help prepare new dads, sharing effective game plans and resources these future fathers need to be great dads. Time Commitment: Varies
Men and women are needed to provide positive role modeling for Birth Choice clients attending the Beginnings (parenting) program. Time Commitment: Varies
You can host a baby shower for groups or individual members to bring pre-natal vitamins, diapers and baby items for the young women who have chosen life for their babies and are attending Birth Choice parenting classes. Time Commitment: 1-2 Times/Year
Women who have a heart for Birth Choice and Toby’s House help serve the women and children in the Birth Choice family. Auxiliaries meet periodically throughout the year, staying up-to-date on the current needs and issues our clients experience as well as planning and coordinating special events and fundraising activities. Time Commitment: Varies
From hosting a Prenatal Vitamin Drive to posting flyers and handing out cards as a part of the Birth Choice street team our advocates are all about spreading the message, “Birth Choice Cares.” If you love to get the word out at community events, host “meet and greets” or coordinate speaking engagements, becoming a Birth Choice advocate gives you an opportunity to save lives with your skills. Time Commitment: Varies
Receive weekly requests and become a powerful warrior for life as a part of our Prayer Team. Ultimately this is a spiritual battle that must be fought on our knees. Your prayers are so valued by our staff, mothers and children. Time Commitment: “Pray without ceasing”
One of the few housing programs of its kind, Toby’s House cares for the many pregnant
women with toddlers who would otherwise not qualify for other local housing programs.
The population that we care for is exceedingly underserved nationwide. You can come alongside and minister directly to those who are in great need of support and encouragement. Time Commitment: Varies
Educators are needed to present the sexual integrity message, which emphasizes the emotional, physical, and social benefits of saving sex for marriage. Time Commitment: Educators speak as needed to youth groups at churches or schools.
Your church can stand for the most vulnerable in our society.
